Original accessories
For your own safety and that of your patient, use only original accessories.
In order to separate sterile from non-sterile areas, assign tasks to the
"non-sterile" or the "sterile" nurse or medical technician.
Non-sterile tasks:
1. Hand sterile irrigation tube to the sterile nurse or medical technician.
2. Hang fluid containers. This will facilitate changing them later on (make sure
that the irrigation fluid containers are approximately 0.7 to 1 m above the
device).
The choice of irrigation fluid is determined by the physician based on the
operation method to be employed.
The device is only intended for use with flexible fluid containers. Do not use glass
containers as they might break. Fluid cannot flow quickly enough due to the
vacuum being generated inside of the bottle. Risk of implosion.
3. Make sure the pump is turned on.
Sterile tasks:
4. Keep the Luer lock connection within the sterile area and hand the end with
the insertion spikes (optional safe-lock connection with white cap) to the
"non-sterile nurse or medical technician".
5. Connect the Luer lock connector with the inflow cannula (e.g. optics cannula).
Non-sterile tasks:
Inserting the tube set into the pump head is depicted in Fig. 6-2.
