Cleaning and maintenance

ATTENTION: Hazard of injury!
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning!
• Never immerse base unit, lid, power cord with connector and
mains plug in water or clean them under running water!
• The appliance as well as all accessory parts must be cooled
down first before cleaning them!
NOTE: Steaming basket, rack, spatula and serving spoon may also be cleaned in the dishwasher at low
temperature and in the upper dish rack. However we recommend to clean the cooking pot by hand as the
non-stick-coating may be worn-out and damaged by the aggressive salts of the cleaning products.
Attention: Never clean lid, gasket ring as well as the components of the valves in the dishwasher!
• Clean the appliance immediately after use so that residues do not dry on.
• Remove all detachable parts from the base unit.
• Clean the outside of the base unit with a damp tissue and wipe it dry.

• Cleaning of the pressure outlet valve:

• Take off the black valve cap and clean it in hot water with some mild detergent: Then thoroughly dry
the valve cap.
• The valve in the lid is hollow! Pay attention that there are no soiling in the valve. It must be possible
to see through the valve. If necessary, clean with a pointed item (e. g. wooden tooth pick – no metal)
and blow through with air.
• For reassembly, place the valve cap again in the intended recess in the lid and place it on the valve.
Pay attention to the correct placement of the valve cap!
