Maintenance and Care

Clean the exterior of the model and the remote control only with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Never use aggressive
cleansing agents or chemical solutions, because they might damage the surface of the housing.
Check the screw connections of your helicopter regularly. In
particular the two screws at the upper rotor shaft adjust-
ment ring (1) must always be tightened.
Important!
Check the vertical clearance of the rotor shaft at
regular intervals.
If the top set collar slides slightly upwards due
to a hard landing, the complete rotor shaft sinks
downwards. Then the engine pinions can no
longer accurately grip the transmission gear-
wheel.
For tooth backlash adjustment, loosen the two attachment
screws of the motor (1) from below.
Then slide a small strip of paper (2) in between the gears.
Press the drive motor pinion slightly against the main cog-
wheel and screw the motor on again.
After removing the paper strip, check the correct function of
the mechanics.
Rotatable parts must turn easily but there must not be any play in the bearings.
When replacing mechanical parts use only original spares available from the manufacturer.
