Maintenance and care

You have to perform regular checks and maintenance work on your model helicopter to ensure its operational safety.
Check the tail rotor at regular intervals. In case of contact with grass or soil, completely remove any residues from the
rotor blades. After each ground contact, check the tail rotor blades for visible damage.
Oil the sliding sleeve on the tail rotor at regular intervals. Make sure that the tail rotor drive and the control run
smoothly.
Check the main rotor head after each flight. The rubber rings in the rotor head lose their elasticity over time and must
be exchanged.
The joint socket of the linkage rods may become loose and jump off after a short time in case of improper installation.
Therefore, make sure it is installed tightly before each flight day.
If the main rotor comes into contact with the ground, you also have to exchange the main rotor shaft and the blade
bearing shaft besides the rotor blades. In this context, always make sure that the ball bearings run smoothly as well.
The screw attachments may become loose due to vibrations. Therefore, check their tight fit after each flight day.
Experience has shown that this effect often occurs with metal screw attachments.
Make sure that the toothed belt is undamaged and well-tensioned and that the tooth backlash of motor/main pinion is
well adjusted. Please see "a) Dismounting the mechanical unit" for information on how to check and adjust the drive
parts.

If you have to replace damaged or worn parts, only use original replacement parts for your helicopter.

Clean the exterior of the model and the remote control with a soft, dry cloth or brush only. Never use abrasive cleaning
agents or chemical solutions as these could damage the surfaces of the housings.
