Description of the functional buttons

Operating the appliance

The appliance is designed for a max. continuous operation time of 15 minutes. If this
time has been reached, the appliance has to cool down for at least 5 minutes.
If this is not observed, the motor might be damaged!
• Do not cut on surfaces made of metal or enamel.
• Do not cut bones with this electric knife.
• The blades with fine teeth are not suitable to slice or cut frozen food.
• Always park the appliance with the sharp, serrated edge of the blades facing downwards.

Preparing the appliance for use

Attention! Hazard of injury: Do not touch the very sharp edges of the blades. Handle
cutting tools with care to avoid injuries!
• Unplug the knife from the mains!
• Only insert the blades when the appliance is not running!
• Grasp the assembled blade set at its finger protection with the sharp
• Remove the cover.

Switching the appliance on or off

Attention! Hazard of injury: Do not touch the sharp edges of the blades. Handle cut-
ting tools with care to avoid injuries!
• Before connecting the mains plug with a power socket please ensure that ON button and
safety button are not pushed at the same time by mistake!
• Switch the appliance on.
The appliance is equipped with a safety button against unintended operation.
To start the appliance please press the safety button first and afterwards
press the ON button.
Hold both buttons during operation – the appliance stops as soon as one
button is released.
There is a suction pad affixed to the cable. With the suction pad the cord
can be positioned safely to prevent the cable from coming near the
blades inadvertently.

Front side of the knife:
• A = ON button
• C = Release buttons
Back side of the knife:
• B = Safety button
edge facing downwards. Insert the blades into the slot at the front of
the unit until they snap into place. You will hear a clear "click" when the
blades engage. Pay attention that both release buttons snap into place.
