Before staring operation
• All connections should be made by now.
• Perform preparations required for the network and printers.

The unit receives image data in DICOM format from the modality connected to the
ethernet line. It then converts the data for the printers.
The processed image data is sent to the printers through the SCSI interface. These
operations are controlled from the host computer of the modality.
The indicators show the operating conditions of the unit.
For details, see "Location and Function of Parts" (page 6).
To switch off power
Push and hold the POWER switch until you hear too beeps. Then release it. The
POWER lamp blinks while the switch is being held down. After a short pause the
POWER lamp goes out and the power switches off.
QUEUE
Turn on the power of the printer and peripheral equipment.
Turn on the power of the UPA-D3.
Push and hold the POWER switch down for about 2 seconds until the POWER
lamp lights.
Notes
• Wait about 10 seconds after plugging in the power cord before switching on
the power. Pressing the POWER switch too soon may cause that the power of
the unit doesn't switch on. If this happens, wait another 10 seconds, then set
the POWER switch to ON again.
• After switching off power, wait at least 30 seconds before switching it on
again.
