5-8-3. Hold

The tool coordinates can be set easily using the HOLD function.

The HOLD function is used to set tool coordinates.
A HOLD operation changes the display to the ABS mode.
For details, refer to "5-8-4. Tool coordinate function" .
Operating procedure
Select the X-axis.
Press the HOLD key.
The ABS display will be selected, and the
display will be held and will not change even if
the scale is moved.
Select the X-axis.
Measure the diameter of the workpiece with a
micrometer.
Enter the diameter.
Example: Workpiece diameter=9 mm
Press the datum point setting key.
