Grilling
1. Connect the unit to a wall socket. Turn the thermostat (H) to position 3 and
the heat indicator light (F) turns on. The contact grill is ready for use, if the
heat indicator light (F) turns off.
2. Place the contact grill on a level surface and place a heat-proof container or a
plate under the fat drainage (E) of the contact grill to catch surplus fat.
3. Place the food on the heating plates and fold the top housing
as shown on picture 1, if you want grilling on both sides,
as shown on picture 2, if you want to grill only one side and
as shown on picture 3, if you want to scallop or hold the food warm.
4. In order to fold the top housing as shown on picture 3, first lift the top
housing horizontally. Hold the bottom housing with your other hand on the
heat-proof handle (G) tight and fold the top housing down. Pull the top
housing lightly towards to your direction in order to latch the hinges into the
housing holder (D).
5. Check grilling process and adjust the grilling temperature according to your
taste. Remove the grilling food always with a non-metal tool out of the heating
plates.
6. Always unplug the power plug to switch the unit off.
Hints:
Marinated and thawed food should be dried thoroughly before grilling it,
Season the food before grilling but salt it at time of serving,
The food should be uniformly thick to ensure even browning,
Always oil the lower heating plate before grilling fish.
