Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, dam-
age or physical injury:
Before plugging in, make sure that the voltage corresponds to the type label
on the appliance.
Connect the unit only to grounded wall sockets.
Do not pull the cord over sharp edges and do not clamp it. Keep the power
cord away from hot surfaces.
Keep the unit while operating out of reach of children or persons in need of
supervision. Do not let the unit unsupervised while not in use.
Place the unit on a solid, level surface. Place the contact grill at least 30 cm
away from other objects and always make sure that no inflammable objects
are located near the grill during use.
Note that bread can ignite.
Do not use the unit near water or near gas flames, oven plates or other
heated elements.
Always disconnect the power plug to switch the unit off.
If you use an extension cable make sure that it is not damaged and that the
power rating of the cable is suitable for use with the contact grill. When
operating the unit outdoors, use a fault-current circuit breaker (RCD, trigger
current < 30 mA), to avoid the danger of electrocution.
Do not touch the heating surfaces of the unit during use. Risk of burn!
Keep all parts of the unit clean as they come into direct contact with food.
Clean the unit after each use. Before cleaning allow the unit to cool down.
Never immerse the unit in liquids of any kind and do not allow any liquids to
enter the interior of the unit.
Should the power cord or the plug become damaged, do not use it further
more and have it repaired by a qualified professional.
Do not disassemble the unit or attempt to repair it yourself. Have the unit
repaired by a professional or turn to our customer service.
