Before first Use

1. Remove all packaging materials from the unit and the heating plates. Recycle
unused packaging materials or store them in a safe location out of reach of
small children. Plastic sheets can become a deadly toy for small children.
2. Press the heating plates release clips (I) to remove the heating plates. Clean
the heating plates with a moistened cloth or sponge and allow the plates to
dry completely before using them.
3. Lift the upper housing up and swivel the housing over the frame joint until the
contact grill fully opens (picture 2).
4. Before using the unit for the first time, switch the contact grill on, set the
thermostat (H) to the grade 3 and leave it to heat up in the Party Grill position
(picture 2) for at least 5 minutes, without placing any food. It is perfectly
normal that smoke will come from the unit for a short duration during the first
heating cycle. There is no reason for alarm.
