For safety and licensing reasons (CE), the unauthorised conversion and/or modifica-
tion of the function generator is not permitted.
Only an AC power socket properly connected to the 230 V 50 Hz public supply may
be used for the supply source.
Ensure that the function generator is put into service properly. In this connection
observe the operating instructions.
The product is to be put into service by an appropriately-qualified personnel, so that
its safe operation is guaranteed.
Make sure when installing the product that the power cable does not become trap-
ped and is not damaged by sharp edges.
Never place the function generator near combustible or easily-inflammable materi-
als, e.g. curtaining.
Do not subject the function generator to high temperatures, strong vibrations or
dampness.
AC power-operated equipment does not belong in the hands of children. Take parti-
cular care therefore when children are present.
In industrial facilities the Industrial Employers' Liability Association aacident-preven-
tion regulations for electrical systems and equipment of the must be observed.
In schools, training facilities, hobby and self-help workshops, the handling of the fun-
ction generator must be supervised responsibly by trained personnel.
The instrument is constructed to protection category I. It ir equipped with a VDE-
approvedpower cable with earth wire and may therefore only be connected to and
operated with an earthed 230 V AC power supply.
Measuring instruments and accessories do not belong in the hands of children!
