13.4.5 Functions
The following limits and extensions apply to the setting of functions via fieldbus communication.
Rise and decay times (F6, F7) and special end crater filling sequences (F45, F46, F47) can be set.
When the special end crater filling sequence (F45) is activated, the start condition is selected. Set the
start time (F46) to 0 seconds if no start condition is required.
— The wire feed speed (F24) is set by offset 8/bit 1 of the output data and therefore cannot be set by
a function.
— Function numbers above 100 are assigned to the functions listed in the following table.

Description
The value specified in the output data
corresponds to the actual value of the input
data at the relevant point in time.
When set to ON, the coolant cycle of the liquid-
cooled torch is monitored at the device. If no
coolant flows, print error E 500 is output.
Sets the time period for gas flow before the start
of the welding process. The unit for this setting
is [0.1 s].
Sets the time period for gas flow after the
welding process ends. The unit for this setting
is [0.1 s].
When set to OFF, the function to cancel the
welding process is disabled.
Defines the display filter for measurements for
the display of input data measurements.
0: Averaged value of 1280 ms
1: Averaged value of 160 ms
2: No display filter (averaged value of
approx. 20 ms)
The measured value for the wire feed load can
be determined using input data. The value is
expressed as a percentage [%] of the nominal
load. The setting value of the output data is
disabled.
Sets the current in the start condition. The unit
for this setting is [1 A]. This setting is valid only
when the special end crater filling sequence
function (F45) is ON and the wire feed speed
setting from offset 8/bit 1 is "0".
Sets the wire feed speed in the start condition.
The unit for this setting is [0.1 m/min.]. This
setting is valid only when the special end crater
filling sequence function (F45) is ON and the
wire feed speed setting from offset 8/bit 1
is "1".
Sets the voltage in the start condition. The unit
for this setting is [0.1 V]. This setting is valid only
when the special end crater filling sequence
function (F45) is ON and the voltage setting for
synergetic mode from offset 8/bit 0 is "0".
Performs fine adjustment of the initial voltage for
synergetic mode. This setting is valid only when
the special end crater filling sequence function
(F45) is ON and the voltage setting for
synergetic mode from offset 8/bit 0 is "1".
