1.4 Function and use
Touch control
The control panel of the appliance consists of sensor keys,
that respond to touch.
To use them, observe the following instructions:
• Do not exert much pressure on the controls.
It is sufficient to touch them.
• Use the ball of your finger, not the tip (see illustration).
• When a touch is registered, a beep sounds to confirm it.
• Make sure that the control panel is always clean and dry.
Note: Even a thin film of moisture can make the sensor keys
difficult to operate.
TFT colour display
The colour wide-angle TFT display will guide you through the
menus and show you the selectable and, if applicable, currently
set parameters, as well as the current active status of various
functions or operations and settings (for a detailed description,
see the corresponding table and instructions in the chapter on
operation).
When switched off, the display is black.
After switching on, the display will light up briefly, after showing
the KKT KOLBE logo, it will change to the standby state (clock
display) and then in any case change according to the input, as
described above.
If no programme is running, the display brightness is automati-
cally reduced 1 minute after the last keystroke to save energy.
