Replacing the Handpiece with Connecting Cable

• Set SonicWeld Rx® to standby mode by pressing the On/Standby switch. The unit can now no longer be
activated.
− The display turns dark upon entering standby mode.
• Remove the plug of the handpiece connecting cable from the handpiece connecting socket (2,
front fold-out page).
• Connect a new handpiece with connecting cable (7, 8, front fold-out page; see section 8 "Accessories &
Spare Parts", page 84) to the SonicWeld Rx® system: insert the plug of the connecting cable fully into
the handpiece connecting socket (2, front fold-out page) and rotate to lock it in place.
• Operate the On/Standby switch to set the SonicWeld Rx® to working mode.
• Check the unit for proper functioning.

Be sure to use only the genuine parts available from the manufacturer as specified in section 8
"Accessories & Spare Parts", page 84. Using third-party accessories or spare parts can increase
interference emission and reduce the interference immunity of the SonicWeld Rx®.
