GENERAL APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Force transducers are suitable for measuring compressive forces. They provide highly
accurate static and dynamic force measurements and must therefore be handled very
carefully. Particular care must be taken when transporting and installing the devices.
Dropping and knocking the transducer may cause permanent damage.
C10 series force transducers have a convex force application part, to which the forces to
be measured must be applied.
The specifications on page 30 list the permissible limits for mechanical, thermal and
electrical stress. It is essential to observe these limits when planning the measuring set-
up, during installation and, ultimately, during operation.
