6 Commissioning

6.10 Mounting the orbital welding machine

Risk of injury due to improper mounting
Improper mounting can cause the device to fall and cause serious injuries.
► Check and wear your personal protective equipment (safety shoes).
► Check that the positioning belt is seated correctly and readjust if necessary.
► Observe the freedom of movement before mounting. The maximum distance may vary depending
on the torch model.

Rotate the device to the service position.

Switch on the device at the On/Off switch.

The LED illuminates.
Lift the device and running gear-release lever in

the direction of the retaining frame until it stops
and hold onto it.
Place the device with the roller guide sideways

and slightly tipped on the positioning belt.
Set the clearance as shown in the figure.
