10 OPERATING MODE

10.1 OPERATION AT POWER-UP
At the first power-up, the dome operates with the factory default configurations. If settings are changed, they
are permanently stored and will be available also for future dome power-up. Notice that at any time settings
can be restored to default values using the suitable menu item.
During power-up, the dome operates as follows:
2. The dome performs a calibration phase, displaying in the OSD menu (On Screen Display) a
message with the following information: used protocol, communication parameters, dome address
and software version.
Check that data are those required for operation.
Otherwise, see the section of this manual concerning dome settings (chapter 4.7).
Note
Write down the SW version if technical assistance is required.
2. Once the calibration phase is completed, the dome goes in waiting mode and operates according to
settings configured in the operation modes menu in the item POWER UP ACTION under the menu
<DOME SETTINGS1 • POWER UP>. The dome operates in this way until any command is sent from
the keypad. The dome, for example, can be pointed to a fixed subject or can make a scan of the
visibility field.

10.2 Use with command keypad
After calibration, the dome is ready to receive commands sent by the command keypad. Any keypad with
protocol, communication characteristics, baud rate and command set compatible with the dome can be used.
The use of the keypad Ref. 1092/620 is described below (see the next figure).
