8014825/YE12/2014-09-15 © SICK AG • Level sensors • Germany • Subject to change without notice
Cause
AutCal not executed, interference
superimposes medium reflection
TrsHld setting is not suitable for the
medium
Probe length configured incorrectly
Probe not available
A parameter was written outside of
the valid value range and therefore
adjusted
Another parameter was automatically
adjusted due to a dependency (SPx,
RPx)
Incorrect password entered
Information: The AutCal process or
foam calibration was rejected because
the probe length, teach-in depth, or
measuring mode was changed
The teach-in process was successful
AutCal failed
Foam-CalEmp or FoamCalMed menu
item failed
Short-circuit at the output
Load resistance at the output is too
low
Supply voltage too low for IO-Link
communication
Supply voltage too low for analog
output
Supply voltage too low for switching
outputs
The ohmic load at the analog current
output Qa is too high
The analog current output Qa is not
wired
7 Troubleshooting
Solution
Perform commissioning
(see Chapter 2.1 "Quick commissioning")
Perform advanced commissioning
(see Chapter 2.2 "Advanced commissioning")
Check probe length and compare against
configuration in EXPRT-Config-LENGTH
Check probe
Write the value again inside of the valid range
Check parameter again
Enter correct password
Perform commissioning again if necessary
Repeat commissioning
Follow the foam commissioning instructions
Remove short-circuit
Increase load resistance
Increase supply voltage to achieve the desired
functionality
Increase supply voltage to achieve the desired
functionality
Increase supply voltage to achieve the desired
functionality
Reduce the load at Qa
Connect the load to Qa
