In order to prevent damage to the handlebars, which
may lead to accidents, pay attention to the following
instructions:
•
The Bosch eBike System must only be serviced by
your Bosch specialised dealer.
•
Any work involving the internal cable routing must
be done by your specialised dealer
•
On roof mounted bike carriers, never fixate the
bicycle while it is standing on its handlebar.
•
Do not attach weights to the handlebars, be it for
transport reasons or otherwise.
•
Never use force to adjust your brake or shifting
levers, or the bell. Always loosen each part prior
to any adjustment.
•
Never try to fix bent or twisted handlebars (e.g.
after a crash). Always replace with new parts.
•
We strongly advise the handlebars to be replaced
by a professional after three years (or 10.000km
in case of frequent use).
Any technical modifications to the e-bike are forbidden,
unless the components or accessories used are
approved by Schindelhauer Bikes. Please consult your
Schindelhauer dealer for further information.
Caution! Modifications to the e-bike that increase the
power of the drive unit or raise the speed limitation void
your warranty and your right to return the product. The
e-bike thereby loses its pedelec status and is instead
regarded as a non-licensed moped by German law.
There may be legal consequences.
Please note that on all Schindelhauer bikes, the front brake
is connected to the left brake lever by default.
E-bikes accelerate faster than normal bikes and hydraulic
brakes have much more stopping force than regular rim
brakes.
Choose a safe place away from traffic and familiarize
yourself with the handling characteristics of your new e-
bike.
