6 Charging the battery

The product is powered by an integrated high-quality Li-Ion battery with sufficient capacity to
operate for one full day of usual everyday activities. Turning the product off during longer periods
of passive use (e.g. air or rail travel, visit to a theatre or cinema, etc.) will make the battery last
longer. We recommend charging the product once a day when used by the patient on a daily
basis. Electronic battery management provides the patient with information about the battery
charge level (battery management).
The charging unit consists of the charging plug and the power cord. The battery charger has an
input voltage range of 100–240 V and may be operated in a mains frequency range of 50–60 Hz.
