2. Depending which side of the handlebar the switch is installed, the harness wire either is or is not placed
into its groove in the switch. If the switch is installed on the left side of the handlebar, the harness wire
must be placed in the groove; if the switch is installed on the right side, the harness wire is not placed
into this groove.

3. Install the switch spacer immediately after the switch unit, and then install the hand grip.
4. Tighten the switch base fi xing bolt to ~7 in-lb (0.8 N-m) torque with a 2 mm hex key wrench.
The two threaded holes located in the switch base can fi t either the switch stop fi xing bolt or the base
fi xing bolt; the thread pitch is identical for both. The metal and plastic clamp bands are interchangeable,
which allows interchangeability of switch actuation direction.
Caution: To assure a secure switch installation, make sure the metal clamp band is used between the handlebar and the
switch base fi xing bolt. If the plastic clamp band is used between the handlebar and the base fi xing bolt, the switch will
slip on the handlebar.

INSTALLING THE BATTERY MOUNTING BRACKET
1. As shown below, install the battery mounting bracket under the water bottle cage using the bottle
cage fi xing bolts.

2. Leave at least 4.25" (108 mm) of space at the end of the battery mounting bracket. Make sure you have
enough clearance for installing and removing the battery.
