Fitting of the spark plug

See Fig. 3.
The engine will be supplied with a spark plug of the type DENSO IW 31.
 Remove the transport plug from the spark plug tapping.

Verify electrode gap of spark plug. Adjust as required.
 Note: The electrode gap of the spark plug should be 0,4 mm (0,016 in) to 0,6 mm (0,024
in) (for DENSO spark plugs) Only slight bending of the ground electrode is
permitted.
 Fit supplied spark plug (pos. 8) and tighten to 27 Nm (239 lbf in)
 Install the spark plug connector (pos. 9), ensure correct engagement.
2.1.3.

Installation and connection of the RAVE control unit

See Fig. 4.
The RAVE control unit is delivered and offered as complete part.
 Install RAVE control unit with 2 screws M5 (pos. 1) and washers (pos. 2) on the front
and 2 nuts M5 (pos. 3) and washers (pos. 4) on the back of the retaining plate.
 Fasten the control line of the exhaust valve (black hose, pos. 5) to the valve rod
housing (pos. 6).
