Care and cleaning
The unit and its accessory parts must be cleaned and disinfected and the
mucosal electrode and the file clamp of the apex locator must be sterilized
prior to initial operation and before treating each patient.
Disconnect the unit from the main supply circuit before cleaning or disinfect-
ing it.
Do not use any liquids or sprays in the immediate vicinity of the unit.
Never immerse the unit or any of its parts in liquids.
Do not use the shipping package as a sterilization bag.

Cleaning
The unit and the control panel as well as the motor, hose and accessories
can be wiped off with a cloth moistened lightly with water.
To remove stubborn dirt and grime, clean the unit and the control panel
as well as the motor and hose with a piece of cloth moistened slightly with
a neutral cleaning agent and then wipe it dry with a soft cleaning rag.
Do not clean in an ultrasonic cleaning system.
The micromotor, foot pedal and all cables can be wiped off with a cloth
moistened lightly with water or alcohol.
Never use any solvents or aggressive cleaning agents to clean the micro-
motor, the foot pedal or the cables.
Remove dirt, grime and disinfectant residue regularly using mild, com-
mercially available cleaning agents.
Do not allow liquids to penetrate into the slots of the unit!
Immediately wipe off medications that come into contact with the surface.
7.2
Disinfection
The unit and the control panel as well as the motor, hose and accessories
can be wiped off with a cloth moistened lightly with an alcohol-free disin-
fectant.
Never use sprays near the connectors or connecting pieces.
You must choose only disinfectants that comply with the valid require-
ments of the respective national regulatory body or whose bactericidal,
fungicidal and virucidal properties have verifiably been tested and ap-
proved accordingly. You can use for instance:
MinutenSpray classic from Alpro, MinutenWipes from Alpro
In the USA and Canada:

CAVICIDE
or CAVIWIPES
Do not use: Substances containing phenol, peracetic acid, peroxide or any
other oxygen-splitting agents, sodium hypochlorite or iodine-splitting agents.
