Cleaning the hob
CAUTION!
Risk of burns!
Improper handling may lead to burns.
Allow the cooking zones to cool
■
completely before cleaning. Ex-
ception: Immediately remove sugar
or starchy food particles, synthetic
materials, or aluminium foil (for fur-
ther information see below).
NOTICE
For cleaning purposes, do not use
any harsh cleaning agents or scour-
ing powders, steel wool, oven sprays,
steam cleaners or high-pressure
cleaners! They can damage the sur-
face. High-pressure cleaners can
cause a short circuit.
• Clean and maintain the hob regularly
with a special care product containing a
special impregnating oil for glass ceramic
hobs. Such products can be found in spe-
cialist shops.
Surface stains not permanently
burnt in
• After the appliance has cooled, use a
damp cloth with no cleaning agent to wipe
away dirt. Then use a soft cloth to dry the
surfaces to prevent lime stains.
• Light-coloured stains pearlescent in col-
our (aluminium residues, for example,
from aluminium foil) can be easily re-
moved with a specially designed cleaning
product which is available from specialist
shops.
• Vinegar is ideal for removing lime stains.
Cleaning the hob
Tough, burnt-on stains
• Tough stains can be most easily removed
after cooling using a blade scraper. The
specially designed cleaning product can
also be found in specialist shops.
Finally wipe the surface off with a damp
cloth.
• After cleaning, treat the hob with a special
care product.
Removing sugar or starchy food
particles, synthetic materials, or
aluminium foil

food particles and residues of plastics
or aluminium foil. Otherwise this may
lead to permanent damage which
cannot be repaired.
• Put protection on your hands before
cleaning, for example, oven mitts to pro-
tect against burns. Then use the blade
scraper to remove the dirt from hot glass
ceramic.
• Once the hob has cooled off, you can re-
move residues using a specially designed
cleaning product which is available from
specialist shops.
