The right cookware
Only use cookware suitable for in-
duction hobs. Look for the induc-
Induktion
tion symbol on the bottom or on the
packaging of the cookware.
It is best to use ferromagnetic crockery made
of enamelled steel, cast iron or special stain-
less steel induction crockery. Cookware is
suitable when the pot or pan has a magnetic
bottom. Cookware made of stainless steel,
ceramic, copper or aluminium is not suitable.
The hob does not recognise these materials.
The following symbol
you try to use them on the cooking zone/sur-
face. If the cookware is suitable, the heat lev-
el will be displayed instead.
If possible, only use thick-bottomed cookware
or energy- and time-saving pressure cookers.
The relatively high purchase costs are quickly
recovered.
You should not use:
– indented or battered pans
– pans with a rough base
– pans with a rounded base
– coated cookware that is scratched inside
Please also ensure that the cookware is
placed in the middle of the cooking zone.
Do not use pots that are too big or too small
(see table in next chapter).

1. Place suitable cookware on one of the
cooking zones.
2. Turn the dial to the desired level of heat.
The heat level setting is shown on the dis-
play panel (23).
If the error symbol ' ' is shown blinking
on the control panel, this may be the re-
sult of the following:
– The cookware has not been placed on the
proper cooking zone.
– The cookware is not suitable for cooking on
induction hobs.
– The cookware is too small or not centred
on the cooking zone.
The heating process will not commence
until suitable cookware is placed on the
cooking zone which has been switched on.
