Maintenance and repairs
6.1
Preparing the truck for maintenance and repairs
All necessary safety measures must be taken to avoid accidents when carrying out
maintenance and repairs. The following preparations must be made:
Procedure
• Park the truck securely, (see "Parking the truck securely" on page 73).
• Fully lower the load handler.
• Disconnect the battery to prevent the truck from being switched on accidentally.
WARNING!
Risk of accidents when working under the load handler, driver's cab and lift
truck
When working under a raised load handler, driver's cab or a raised truck, secure
them to prevent the truck from from lowering, tipping or sliding away.
When raising the truck, follow the instructions, (see "Lifting the truck by crane" on
page 36). When working on the parking brake, prevent the truck from accidentally
rolling away (e.g. with wedges).

Opening the rear panel

Requirements
– Prepare the truck for maintenance and repairs
((see "Preparing the truck for maintenance and
repairs" on page 149)).
Procedure
• Undo the two quick release fasteners (147).
• Pull the rear panel back and remove it
The rear panel is now open. The fuses and other
electrical components can now be reached.
