10.2.8 SETUP – SYSTEM
In the main menu, select the submenu "SETUP" and then the menu "SYSTEM".
In the menu "SYSTEM", you can set the system date, system time, system password, video sys-
tem etc. .
TIME SET: Setting the system date and the system time.
For setting, use the buttons
value.
There are three different display modes:
ASIA: YY/MM/DD
EUROPE: DD/MM/YY
USA: MM/DD/YY
SYSTEM PASSWORD: Define the system password. The system password may consist of at most
8 characters.
As soon as a system password was assigned, you will be asked for it when calling up the menu or
accessing the digital recorder from the network.
SYSTEM INFO: The menu SYSTEM INFO shows the firmware version (FIRM.VER) as well as the hard
disk capacity (HDD X) of the installed hard disk.
With the option OVERWRITE , you can define whether the initially data is to be overwritten automatical-
ly when the hard disk is full (= option set to ON), or whether the recording process stops once the full
hard disk capacity is reached.
VIDEO SYSTEM: With the option VIDEO SYSTEM , you can define which video format (PAL = typical for
Europe and Australia) is to be used. Select the corresponding video format with the buttons
With the option VGA RESOLUTION, you can select the required monitor resolution (only applies for the
"VGA connection" on the rear (24).
LOG VIEW: This is a logfile with information about the time of a motion detection, sensor triggering,
manually started recording, system boot. etc.
LOG SET: Here you can define which information is supposed to be recorded in the LOG VIEW. Set the
corresponding options to ON to include this information in the LOG VIEW or to "OFF" if you do not want
this.
MOTION = motion detection
SENSOR = sensor triggering
EMERGENCY = emergency
BOOTING = system activation
