• Electronic devices are no toys and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• Never cover up the H.264 digital recorder as well as the power unit when in opera-
tion. Always ensure proper ventilation!
• Please contact a qualified expert if you are unsure about the safety and correct
use of the system components.
• The H.264 digital recorder should not be placed in the vicinity of devices with
strong electrical fields, such as cell phones, radio sets and electrical motors, etc.
This may lead to malfunction.
• Never let the packaging material lie around unattended. Plastic foil / bags etc. can
become a dangerous toy for children, there is a risk of suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, discon-
nect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device does not operate any longer and
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress in transit.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.
• Capacitors in the device may still be charged even after it has been disconnected
from all power sources.
• Pressure and traction forces as well as drops from a low height may damage
the device.
• Make sure that the power pack is separated from the H.264 digital recorder when
installing the SATA hard drive and that the digital recorder is turned off.
• The H.264 digital recorder, the remote control as well as the power unit may only
be operated in dry, indoor rooms.
• The H.264 digital recorder may only be operated with the provided power unit. The
remote control is supplied with 2 x 1.5V micro batteries (type: AAA).
• The power unit may never be plugged in or unplugged with wet hands.
• Never pull at the cable of the power unit. Always grip the power unit's housing to
unplug it!
• Make sure that the power pack is separated from the H.264 digital recorder when
installing the SATA hard drive and that the H.264 digital recorder is turned off.
When installing / mounting the appliance, make sure that the connection cable is
neither pinched nor damaged by sharp edges.
• Remove the plug mains unit from the wall socket if the device is not in use for a
longer period of time.
• Always pull the power unit out of the mains socket before cleaning the H.264 digi-
tal recorder.
• In case of a thunderstorm, unplug the power supply for safety reasons.
• Never replace damaged mains cables yourself. In such cases, disconnect the
appliance from the mains and take it to a specialist workshop.
