Delay time for Delta-V detection (NiMH and NiCd batteries only)
PEAK DELAY
The charger stops charging the NiMH or NiCd batteries following the Delta-V method.
Here you can determine for how long the charger should continue charging after the detection.
Voltage for Delta-V detection (NiMH only)
DELTA PEAK SENSE
Here you can configure the voltage at which the Delta-V charging method detects a fully charged battery.
If the value is set too high, the charger may not be able to detect that the battery is fully charged under cer-
tain circumstances. In that case, the protective circuit addresses the charging time or the maximum capacity
(if set correctly).
If the value is set too low, the charger turns off too early and the battery will not be fully charged.
Change the voltage gradually and check the charging process. Due to the wide variety of batteries, we
cannot propose an optimum value.
Storing the settings
SAVE PROGRAM
See below in Chapter 14. b).
b) Saving the battery data
In order to save the set values, you have to select the setting feature "SAVE
PROGRAM" and then press the button "ENTER/START" briefly. If you don't,
you will lose all settings.
The charger shows a corresponding message ("SAVE ....") when saving and
then beeps.
If you select the function "BATT MEMORY" from the charger's main menu
and then a previously setup data memory, the charger will cycle through
showing the most relevant information; see example in the picture on the
right (battery type LiPo, 2 cells, charging current 2.2 A, discharge current
1.2 A).
You can thus see at once which battery and which data is stored in the
memory.
If the data memory is empty, only "ENTER SET ->" is shown in the
bottom row.
