9.15 RF Modulator

The receiver can be connected to older TVs that do not have SCART sockets or separate
video/audio inputs. In this case the digital terrestrial TV signals are converted to standard
analogue TV signals by the RF Modulator. They are displayed using a regular aerial antenna lead
connected to the aerial antenna input of the TV set.
Note: The quality of this signal transmission from the STB to the TV set is limited; the sound is
transmitted in "mono" only. It is recommended to use a different way of connection if at all possible
(e.g. SCART).
The correct settings for RF transmission can be adjusted with the menu items 9 and 10 in the
menu "General Settings". You can select the TV standard and the desired output channel of the
RF Modulator depending on your TV set. In Central Europe, the analogue TV standard PAL B/G is
the most common one. You can allocate any channel for RF output, provided it can be tuned to on
the connected TV set and is not already occupied by DVB-T program packets. Please refer to the
operating instructions of the TV.

9.16 Delete All Channels

This function will delete all channel data from the receiver. All other individual settings will be kept.
Go to the Main Menu, select "Installation", select "Delete All Channels".

Start your individual channel search process, using "Auto Search" or "Manual Search" in the
"Installation" menu.

9.17 Reinstallation

This function will delete all channel data and all individual settings from the receiver, and all
settings will be reset to their default values.
Go to the Main Menu, select "Installation", select "Reinstallation".
Enter password upon request.
A warning message appears. Press "EXIT" to cancel or OK to confirm.
Start your individual channel search process, using "Auto Search" or "Manual Search" in the
"Installation" menu.
When using an active antenna, please make sure to set the "Antenna Booster Power" option to
"ON" in the "General Settings" menu before starting channel search.

9.18 Software Update / System Information

If necessary, this receiver can be updated with the latest software version. There are two ways of
doing this:
Connecting the receiver to a PC accordingly configured.
You need a data cable (RS 232C(cross type) ), special data transmission software for your PC and
the software update for the receiver. Software updates can be obtained from the SCHWAIGER
website. Please check under
