Before first use

Remove the steam iron from the packaging.

Remove all stickers and protective films from the
steam iron and from the sole of the iron

Plastic bags can be dangerous. To avoid fatal-
ities through suffocation, keep plastic bags out
of the reach of children.
■
Fill the water tank with water (See the chapter
"Filling the water tank").
■
Insert the plug into a mains power socket supply-
ing an electrical current as detailed on the rating
plate.
■
Move the temperature control
position.
■
Heat the steam iron up for several minutes at the
highest setting.
■
Activate the steam blast button
of times so that steam comes out of the sole of
the iron
.
■
Then iron over a piece of scrap fabric to remove
any production residues that may remain on the
sole of the iron
.

Hold the iron in your hand at an angle.

Open the cover of the filler opening for the

■
Using the measuring breaker
tank with tap water/distilled water to the "MAX"
marking (and no further).

Close the cover of the filler opening for the
water tank
NOTE
Should the mains water at your locality be rated
as hard, it is recommended that you mix the mains
water with some distilled water. Otherwise, the
jets for the steam blast function could calcify
to the "MAX"
(become blocked) prematurely.
To extend the optimal steam blast function, mix
mains water with distilled water according to the
table:
