Care and service
WA RN IN G !
Danger of injury from incorrect calibration trip.
This can result in severe physical injury or in death.
Attach the boat to the landing stage in such a way that it cannot break free.
There must always be one person in the boat during calibration.
Beware of people in the water.
A calibration trip is necessary when the motor is used with external batteries. Before
the start of each season, carry out a calibration trip, so that the on-board computer
can analyse and take into account the ageing of your battery bank.
ADVI CE
Do not switch off the system during calibration.
Depending on the size of the battery bank, very long running times may re-
sult.
If you wish to track the voltage level of the battery bank during the calibra-
tion trip, you can use the multifunction display to show the voltage.
Proceed as follows:
1. Charge the battery until it is 100% full.
2. Briefly press the CAL button twice.
The state of charge is set to 100% on the on-board computer.
3. Start the calibration trip.
4. During the calibration trip, ensure that the battery is sufficiently charged, so
that you can return to the berth or landing stage at any time in order to can dis-
charge the batteries there.
5. Attach the boat to the landing stage or berth.
6. At the landing stage or berth, run the battery until it is empty.
During the last half hour of the calibration trip, the motor's power consumption
must be between 50 and 400 Watt.
The motor switched itself off automatically, and this completes the calibration.
