3.3.3 Hooking up to the electrical mains

Before connecting to the electrical mains, check the
following:
Make sure that the characteristics of the mains (voltage and frequency) correspond to
those shown on the machine's technical data plate: this machine must be connected to a
network with 230 V, 50 Hz.; any voltage lower than 207 V or higher than 253 V can cause
malfunctions.
Make sure that the power cord plug has an earthing contact and that, after it is plugged
in, the entire machine results as connected to the earthing network.
Make sure that the machine is positioned so that the plug for connecting it to the
electrical socket is accessible after installation.
Make sure that the neutral wire is the blue one. Otherwise, invert the poles.
Make sure you use a differentiated protection system.
Caution!
» The use of adapters, power strips and/or extension cords is prohibited.
» Do not remove the earthing pin from the plug, and do not do anything to by-pass, modify, or
destroy the earthing system of the vending machine.
» Do not bend the power cord excessively and do not position heavy objects on top of it.
» Do not connect the electrical cord when your hands are wet.
» If you notice that the power cord shows anomalies or if it is damaged, it is necessary to
replace the cord. To ensure personal safety, and to prevent risks of damage to the
machine, the power cord must be replaced by the manufacturer or its technical service
department or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent any risk.
