6.4 Malfunctions of the Refrigeration System
Problem
Refrigeration system does not
work.
The compressor works but the
temperature is not ideal.
Evaporator covered with ice.
The compressor works, but it heats
up and does not cool down.

Possible Causes
The machine is not powered up.
The door switch is not activated.
The control unit is defective or

Recommended Solutions
Check the energy source. Check the
power cord connections and any fuses
present.
Check the door closure and the switch
operation.
Check the connections of wiring and the
control unit
Replace the control unit
Check the fins of the condenser to see if
they are dirty or blocked.
Clean them with a stiff brush.
Make sure that the space between the
back grille and the wall is at least 10 cm
wide.
Check to see if it is blocked.
Check the circuit. Replace the motor.

and check the fan to make sure it isn't
blocked. Check the relay board and the
connections to the switchboard.
Set the desired temperature (ref.
