Using
1. Turn the shade adjusting knob (4) to adjust the shade level according to the
application (see shade guide table).
2. Set the time delay switch (7) to the desired position.
3. Press the power button ON (6) at the side of the helmet to activate the auto
darkening electronics.
4. Prior to use the welding helmet, check the proper function of the auto-
darkening filer cartridge on a light source; e.g. strike a match or a cigarette
lighter. Never undertake welding in direct sunlight!
5. When the helmet is not being used for 15 minutes it automatically switches
off.
Replacing the Front Cover Lens
Take care that the front cover lens is
clean
at
all
immediately if there are any cracks or
scratches.
1. For changing the front cover lens
(2) put a finger or a blunt object into
the notch in the middle and lift up
the lens from the side fasteners.
2. Hook the new lens into one of the
side fasteners to reinsert it. Press
the slightly outwards curved lens
into the opposite fasteners until it
visibly and audibly locks.
Replacing the Inside Cover Lens
Make sure, that the inside cover lens also is clean at all times and has no
uneven spots. Immediately change the inside cover lens if damaged.
1. To replace the inside cover lens (8) put a blunt object into the notch in the
middle and lift up the lens as described in the chapter "Replacing the Front
Cover Lens".
2. First hook the lens into one of the fasteners to reinsert the lens. Then
press the slightly outwards curved lens to the bottom until it locks.
