Intended Use

 This auto-darkening welding helmet is designed to protect your eyes and
face from sparks, spatter and harmful radiation under normal welding
conditions. The auto-darkening filter automatically changes from a light
state to dark state when an arc is struck.
 The intended use also includes an operation following the operating
instructions.
 Any use beyond these parameters (different media, applying force) or any
changes (reconstruction, no original accessory) can lead to serious risks
and is regarded as use that is contrary to the intended purpose.

Before first Use

Unpack the auto-darkening helmet and dispose of packaging material. Plastic
bags etc. may become a deadly toy for small children.
Remove the protection foils from the front cover lens and from the inside cover
lens.
Before welding adjust the position of the headband (11) according to your
requirements.

Adjusting the Headband to the Head Size

 Use the adjustment knob (13) at the rear side of the head band to adjust
the overall circumference of the head band according to your requirements.
Turn the knob counter clockwise to expand the head band. Turn the knob
clockwise to shorten the circumference of the head band. Wear the helmet
while adjusting the head band length. Make sure the head band is sitting
firmly but comfortable.
 Open the head band clasp (10) and adjust the length of the upper head
band piece.
 The front stop position can be adjusted with the locking pin (12). Loosen
the limit block nuts (5) and re-position the locking pin (12) into the desired
hole. Re-tighten the block nuts.
 Lift and lower the helmet a few times to see if the head band fits properly. If
the head band moves while tilting re-adjust it until it is stable.
