Using the Push Stick (13)

When working on narrow or small workpieces, there is a danger of touching the spinning saw
blade with your hand. This will inevitably lead to severe injury. For this reason a push stick has
been included with the machine. Use it to push small workpieces against the saw blade. While the
push stick is not used, it should be stored on the machine. It can be snapped into the two clips on
the right side of the table.

Changing the Saw Blade

Damaged saw blades must be replaced immediately. Before undertaking any work on
the machine, pull the power plug and always wear working gloves when handling the
saw blade!
1.
To change the saw blade, set the machine to crosscut and mitre saw and raise the arm to the
highest position.
2.
Loosen the retaining screw (16) of the operating lever of the safety hoods and open the
hoods to gain access to the saw blade.
Please keep in mind that even a worn saw blade is still sharp!
3.
The saw blade is fixed on the drive shaft with an inner and an outer flange. In front of the
outer flange a screw is screwed into the shaft to tension the flanges. Between screw and
flange there is a flat washer.
4.
To loosen the saw blade use the included face spanner and the included hex key. Hold the
flange with the face spanner to prevent the saw blade from spinning. Loosen the internal hex
screw with the hex key. Please keep in mind that the internal hex screw is equipped with
left hand threads! After screw and washer have been removed the flanges and the saw
blade can be pulled off the spindle.
It is advisable to use this opportunity to clean flanges and driveshaft. Make sure the new saw
blade corresponds to the technical data given in this manual. Use only carbide tipped saw
blades.
The rotation direction arrow on the new saw blade must point forward, corresponding to the
arrow on the blade guard.
5.
Put the flanges, the saw blade and screw and disc on the shaft and lock nut and disc with the
included spanners.
6.
The saw blade must turn without hitting any part of the machine. Now reinstall the screw of
the blade guard operating lever and test the blade guard for function.
