8.3 Connection and start-up

Ensure that the mains adapter of the LCD screen with digital recorder is disconnect-
ed and the device is thus powered down.
Always observe the operating instructions of the devices that are to be used with the
product (e.g. surveillance camera, screen, etc.).
• Ensure that the LCD screen with digital recorder is powered down.
• Connect the video inputs "CH1" to "CH4" (29) to up to four surveillance cameras.
• Make sure that the cameras are connected to the power supply.
• If required, connect the "VIDEO OUTPUT" (32) to, e.g., another screen.
• An audio signal (e.g. from a surveillance camera with sound monitoring) can be connected to the
"AUDIO INPUT" (31) sockets (this is a RCA socket).
• Connect the respective sensors, alarms or suitable PTZ camera (PTZ = PAN, TILT, ZOOM; a suitable
PTZ camera is optionally available) to the "connection terminal" (28). Observe the connection dia-
gram in figure A1.
• Connect the included mouse to the "PS2 MOUSE" (30) socket.
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control by taking off the cover of the battery
compartment.
• Insert two 1.5 V micro batteries observing the correct polarity (Type AAA).
• Close the battery compartment on the back of the remote control again by re-attaching the cover of
the battery compartment.
• Connect the low voltage plug of the supplied mains adapter with the "DC IN 12V" (33) power connec-
tion on your wireless camera. Plug the safety plug of the mains adapter into a mains socket with230
V/AC 50 Hz.
