3. Symbols
A lightning symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of an electric shock.
The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates to you particular risks in handling, operating
and control.
The hand symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
4. Safety Notices
The guarantee will be void if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance with
these operating instructions. We will not assume any responsibility for consequen-
tial damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by
incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases the
warranty/guarantee is voided.
• The LCD screen with digital recorder, the remote control and the mains adapter
must not be modified or converted, as not only the CE approval will become void
but also the warranty/guarantee.
• The LCD screen with digital recorder remote control and the mains adapter must
not be exposed to extreme temperatures, moisture, direct sunlight, intense vibra-
tion or heavy mechanical stress.
• If the LCD screen with digital recorder is used in connection with other devices e.g.
a surveillance camera or a screen, the operating instructions and security notices
of the connected devices must be observed absolutely.
• The operation of this LCD screen with digital recorder in connection with a suitable
surveillance camera is no substitute for your responsibility to personally supervise
children or other people in need of special care. It only serves as a support.
• When the system components are taken from a cold to a warm room (e.g. during
transport), condensation may result. This could damage the product. There is also
the risk of a fatal electric shock! Therefore, you should allow the system compo-
nents to reach room temperature before using the device or connecting the mains
adapter to the mains supply. This process may take several hours.
• Electronic devices are no toys and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• Do not cover the LCD screen with digital recorder or the mains adapter during
operation. Always ensure proper ventilation!
• Please contact a qualified expert if you are not sure about the safety or the correct
use of the system components.
• To avoid interferences, no devices with strong electric fields such as e.g. mobile
phones, radio devices, electric engines etc. must be in the proximity of the LCD
screen with digital recorder. This may cause functional problems.
