object to ensure it works
fine before use.
- Hold the unit as shown in
the drawing and move it
sideways (in horizontal po-
sition) across the wall. In-
dicator will come on when
metal is in the vicinity. Lo-
cate the metal exactly by adjusting the sensivity (turning
the dial).
5.3. Voltage detection
- Put the protective cap to the damp electrodes.
- Set the selector switch to VOLTAGE detection „V".
- Turn on the unit with adjusting dial and come to 1/2 cir-
cle. The indicator come on ommediately. Make sure that
no metal objekts or A/C source are nearby.
Reverse the dial gently until the indicators just go off. If
you want the unit to pin-point at the exact place of the
A/C source, turn the dial a little bit further to narrow the
detection range.
- Place the unit near a known source of A/C power to
ensure it works fine before use.
- Hold the unit as shown in the drawing above and move
it sideways (in horizontal position) across the wall. When
A/C source come near, the LED will blink and buzzer will
have beeping sound. The indicator will become steady
when the A/C source come even closer. Locate the A/C
source exactly by adjusting the sensivity (turning the dial).
Important
It will not detect shielded conductors. That is, those A/C
source inside metal conduit. Use metal detection instead
voltage detection in this case.
