Troubleshooting

Hi or Lo is displayed when the temperature being
measured is outside the range of the instrument
(LO: colder than -55°C resp. HI: hotter than
+220°C). Only select targets which are within the
specifications. If a malfunction still exists, please
contact our customer support.
ER2 is displayed when the thermometer is exposed
to rapid changes in the ambient temperature.
ER3 is displayed when the ambient temperature is
too low or too high (when the ambient temperature
exceeds 0°C or 50°C).
For all other ER error messages it is necessary to
reset the thermometer. To reset the thermometer,
first wait until it switched off. Then remove the
batteries, wait for approx. one minute and reinsert
the batteries. Turn on the thermometer. If the error
message still appears, please contact our
customer support.
Notes: The thermometer should be allowed several minutes to
stabilize to the working temperature when it has been exposed to
rapid changes in the ambient temperature.
Do not expose the thermometer to strong magnetic fields. This will
affect the performance of the thermometer.
