Before first Use

Remove the chain saw and all accessories out of the packing and
check all parts for damage in transit. Keep packaging materials out of
reach of children. There is risk of suffocation.

Assembling the sword and the saw chain

Always use gloves when handling the chain.

Place the chain saw on a level surface.

Remove the cover (12) by screwing the inner part of the quick
tensioning screw cap (13) counter clockwise.

Slide the chain (14) around the chain wheel (15) and into the slot of
the sword (1), see fig. A.
Observe the right chain running direction. On the housing you will find a
symbol with chain links. Make sure to correctly position the chain links,
so the links match the symbol.

Re-attach the cover (12) on the motor housing.

Now turn the outer, black ring of the quick tensioning screw cap
(13) in order to tighten the saw chain.
The saw chain should be tensioned that way, so the chain is not too
loose and it should be possible to lift it off the sword a few millime-
tres, see fig. B.

Now turn the inner part of the quick tensioning screw cap (13) in
order to fix the saw chain (14) in this position.
