Radio rain sensor "FS20 SR"
The radio rain sensor "FS20 SR" is installed in a watertight IP65 housing, which of course does
not permit the drilling of extra holes. This is why this sensor has to be programmed prior to
installing the circuit board.
As shown in the illustration below, the photo diode is soldered directly onto the resistor R9
(cathode of the IR diode) and the ground contact C9 (anode of the IR diode).
Shorten and angle the connection wires accordingly with a distance to the circuit board to
prevent a short circuit!
Additionally, you have to change the jumper leading from R9 to pin 28 of the controller.
To do so, initially solder off the side of the jumper leading to pin 28 of the controller. The loose
end is connected to the jumper carrying the supply voltage in accordance with the illustration
on the top right.
Alternatively, you can also remove the old jumper entirely and connect R9 with a new jumper
with the supply voltage.
