7. Connection and software installation

a) Drivers for Windows XP/2000/VISTA

• Connect the "FS20 IRP" via the provided USB cable to a free USB port on your computer
(USB1.1 or USB2.0).
• Now the "FS20 IRP" is detected as a new device and Windows asks you for a device driver.
This is located on the enclosed program CD in the directory "FS20_IRP_Driver".
• Ignore the warning about missing Windows logo compatibility; this has no influence on the
correct function of the device.

b) Drivers for Windows 98SE/ME

• Start the program "Preinstaller.exe" on the program CD in the directory "FS20_IRP_Driver".
• Then connect the FS20 IRP with the supplied USB connection cable to a free USB port on
your PC.
c) Control software
• On the program CD (main directory) start the program "Setup.exe" and follow the instructions
of the installation assistant until the installation is completed.
• During installation, a new entry is generated in the start menu, which allows you to start the
program "FS20 IRP".
