Stations Direct Preset
Press the 10 key
buttons on the
remote control unit
instead of step 5
to preset desired
VHF and UHF
stations.
To preset UHF station 39 in the
station number 04, for example, press
the TV PROG button to display the
station number "
//+!"" (in step 4) then
press [3] [9] on the remote control
unit.
Press "ENTER/CATV",
"1", "8" in
this order to preset CATV channel 18.
Press "ENTER/CATV",
''1" and "5"
for CATV channel 15.
Note: {ff you cannot preset a station
by the direct preset procedure,
preset
the stations by the pocedure shown
on page 20.

Press the Pause
button when the
@)
desired station is
reached.
"— —" will be
displayed and the
sound will come on.
Note: If the TV programme of
broadcast by a preset station does
not appear clearly, press the <€4 or

button to fine tune the station.
After fine tuning is completed,
press the Pause button again.

Follow the same steps as explained
in steps 4 through 6 above for other
stations.
You can preset up to 49 stations
in memory.

After having completed tuning to all
required stations, press the MENU
button.
The display will change
from the channel indication to the
clock time indication and the
"menu" will appear on the TV
screen.
(Press the MENU button again so
the ''menu" disappears from the TV
screen.)
The stations preset in memory as shown
in the above can be selected with the TV
PROG buttons on the VTR.

The programme up and
down controls on the

VTR let you advance
aVIPROG.

higher or lower
programmed station.
Eliminating unwanted
preset stations
You can rearrange the desired stations by
eliminating unwanted preset stations for
programme up/down tuning.

Aim the remote control unit at the
receiver on the front panel of the
VTR.

Press the MENU
button, and then
press the "2" button for channel
setting.
Press the TV PROG buttons until an
unwanted station is found.
Press the COUNTER 0000 button on
the remote control.
The station number flashes,
indicating that the station has been
erased from memory.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all
unwanted stations have been erased.
After eliminating them, press the
MENU button.
The display wiil
change from the channel indication
to the clock time indication and the
"menu" will appear on the TV
screen.
(Press the MENU button again so
the '"'menu" disappears from the TV
screen.)
SETTING THE CLOCK
To set the clock of the VTR, first set the
clock in the remote control, and then
transfer the set time to the VTR.
Things to know before
you start
Set the VTR 1/VTR 2/TV select
switch to VTR 1 for setting the
clock.

While you are setting the clock,
the display panel on the remote
control unit will prompt you
through the procedure.

Always press '0"' before a
single-digit hour, minute, day,
month and year.

lf you press the wrong digit
during clock setting, press the
CORRECT
button repeatedly
until the incorrect digit flashes
then enter the correct digit.

You have about one minute to
do each step in the procedure.
If you do not proceed to the
next step within this, time, all
entries are erased and you must
start over.
