Transmission
window
Transmits commands
to the VTR.
EJECT button
Press to eject a cassette.
Clock/time display
While setting the clock/timer, this
display will prompt you through the
procedure.
After setting the clock,
the display shows the clock time.
Number buttons "0" through "9"
Select any channel by pressing two
buttons. (Press '0' and then ''8"' for
TV station 8.) The number buttons
are also used for setting the clock
and programming the timer.
COUNT/CLOCK
button
Press to switch the VTR display
between the clock time display and
counter display.

Reset the time counter to ''0:00:00'
when the time counter is displayed
in the VTR display.
F.ADV/SLOW
SPEED
buttons
Used for continuous frame advance
function.
TRACKING

minimize noise in the picture
manually during playback.
VTR 1/VTR 2/TV

Set to TV to control TV. (Refer to
page 42.)

Fast forward
button
Same as on the VTR.
Frame advance button
Press to view tape one frame at a
time.
Operates only after Pause button has
been pressed.
Stop button
If this button is pressed while the
VTR
is opetating, the tape stops
running and all opetating modes are
cancelled (except for timer
recording).
Pause button
Press to pause during recording.
Press to view a pause picture during
playback.
Press again to release.
Play button
Same as on the VTR.
Rewind
button
Same as on the VTR.
TV control buttons
Used to contro! TV.

TV PROG buttons
Select the TV programmes you wish
to view or record by pressing these
buttons.
REC button
Same as on the VTR.
INDEX
button
Used for INDEX and COUNTER
GO-
TO functions.
'AUTO TRACKING
button
Press to activate the auto tracking
function.
This button is not used.
MENU
button
When recalling the timer
programming etc., press this button.
The menu is displayed on TV screen.
DISP (display) button
Calls up the mode display on TV
screen for a few seconds.
Clock/timer programme buttons
These buttons are used for setting
the clock and programming the
timer.
ENTER/CATV
button: Used to
preset CATV channels.
Note: The TRANS/AUX button is
also used to select the ''L1" position
when recording a signal from
external equipment.
Operate button
Same as Operate switch on the VTR
(turns operate on/off).
