7. Inserting the batteries

• Remove the battery compartment lid by sliding it downward.
• Insert two 1.5 V AA batteries into the battery compartment. Observe the correct
polarity (see battery compartment markings).
• After inserting the batteries, all display elements are shown for about 3 seconds.
This is a display test.
• After the display test, the radiator thermostat with actuator is in setup mode.

8. Setup mode

Set date and time in setup mode. Also define whether daylight saving time should
be adjusted automatically. Subsequently, the actuator is calibrated.
Note:
The date and the time when the batteries were last removed are used as default val-
ues. Factory settings are used if the device is operated for the first time.
Button functions:
In setup mode, buttons "UP" and "DOWN" are used to increase or decrease the
desired value. Press the "PROG" button to confirm the settings.
Date and time setup has an automatic timeout function of 60 seconds.

a) Setting the date (year, month, day)

• After the display test (test is carried out automatically for
about 3 seconds after inserting the batteries), the display
flashes and the year can be set. Set the correct year.
