Chain tensioning

The tension of the chain (4) has to be checked from time to time. If neccessary retighten.
•
• The V-belt pulley (3) and the chain (4) must be in the same horizontal level (parallel).
• Is it not the case, the parallelism must be coordinate by adjusting the timing bolt 2.
Loosen counter nut on timing bolt (2), screw out timing bolt (2) a little bit.
•
Loosen both counter nuts on timing bolt (1) and retighten the timing bolt (1) until the chain (4) has got the right
•
tension.
• First tighten counter nut on timing bolt (1) and then counter nut on timing bolt (2).
The tension of the chain and the tension of the V-belt has always to be checked and altered at
the same time!
All 50 operating hours:
Lubricate chain (4) with dry lubricant (the use of oil is not recommended).
