Cradle
WARNING
Before use, you should be trained in ultrasonography. For instructions on the use of your transducer, see your

system's user guide.
Prior to use inspect device for signs of damage, if damage is evident do not use.

Cradle assembly is packaged non-sterile and is reusable. To avoid possible patient contamination, ensure
n
equipment is properly cleaned and disinfected before each use. See reprocessing section for instructions on
how to properly clean and disinfect.
If the product malfunctions during use or is no longer able to achieve its intended use, stop using the product
n
and contact CIVCO.
Report serious incidents related to the product to CIVCO and the competent authority in your Member State,
n
or appropriate regulatory authorities.
NOTE: Product is not made with natural rubber latex.
ATTACHING CRADLE
1. Attach stepper to stabilizer using hex shaft connection. Secure by tightening locking knob.
NOTE: Connection may be inserted into either side of stepper.
2. Open the cradle latch.
3. For BK Medical 8558, 8658, 8808, 8808e, 8818, 8848, E14C4t, E14CL4b transducers: Slide cable end
of transducer back into the cradle, ensuring locating feature fits into notch.
4. Close cradle latch and tighten knob.
5. Replace cradle with transducer back into stepper by rotating into carriage. Center transducer in rotation by feeling
the center line detent during rotation.
6. Position carriage in a central location on carriage scale by turning carriage knob until carriage scale marker is at
60.
7. Loosen grid rail locking knobs and pull back on grid rail handle so grid platform is out of the way for initial
transducer positioning.
