A
Danger!
Do not use cleaning agents (e.g. to remove
resin residue) that could corrode the light
metal components of the saw; the stability of
the saw would be adversely affected.
6. Put on inner blade collar –
observe direction of rotation: The chamfered
side must point towards the motor!
7. Fit a fresh saw blade –
observe direction of rotation: if viewed from the
left-hand (opened) side, the indicating arrow on
the saw blade must point in a clockwise direc-
tion!
A
Danger!
Use only suitable saw blades (see "technical
specifications") – when using unsuitable or
damaged blades parts could be explosive-
like hurled from it by centrifugal force.
Do not use:
- saw blades made of high speed steel
(HSS);
- saw blades with visible damage;
- cut-off wheel blades.
A
Danger!
- Fit saw blade only using genuine parts.
- Do not use loose-fitting reducing rings; the
saw blade could work loose.
- Saw blades have to be fitted such that they
do not wobble or run out of balance and
cannot work loose during operation.
8. Slide on the outer blade collar –
observe direction of rotation: The chamfered
side must face away from the saw blade!
9. Put washer on.
10. Screw in arbor bolt (left-hand thread!) and
tighten fingertight only.
To lock the saw blade in position, depress the
lock knob and turn the saw blade with the other
hand until the lock engages.

A
Danger!
- Do not extent arbor bolt tightening wrench.
- Do not tighten arbor bolt by hitting on the
wrench.
- After tightening the arbor bolt release the
lock knob such that the blade can turn
freely.
11. Guide blade guard over the bare side of the saw
blade.
12. Turn the saw blade guard mounting plate clock-
wise – the left hand screw (A) must be in the
oblong hole behind the small metal lug.
13. Align the mounting plate so that the right-hand
screw (B) can be screwed in.
14. Tighten both screws (A) and (B).
15. Unscrew guide screw with bushing (C).
16. Swing guide lever down and screw the guide
screw with bushing (C) through the oblong hole
of the guide lever, back in.
17. Check functioning. To do so, swing the sawhead
lock down and lower the sawhead:
- The retractable blade guard must release the
saw blade when the sawhead is swung down,
without touching other parts.
- When lifting the saw head up to its rest posi-
tion, the retractable blade guard must auto-
matically cover the saw blade.
Sawhead tilt stop setting
In order to position the sawhead exactly vertically
and at 45° for bevel cuts, the sawhead tilt stops
need to be set:
1. Swing sawhead down and lock with locking pin.
2. Loosen sawhead tilt lock lever on rear of saw.
3. Set the saw blade to exactly 90° against the
turntable, using an mitre square.
4. If necessary, loosen the counter nut on the 90°
stop screw (grey arrow) and set stop screw so
that the sawhead makes contact with it at the
90° position. Retighten counter nut.
5. Repeat step three and four for the 45° stop
screw (black arrow) with a 45° mitre square.
